Janeshwar Mishra Park is the standout — large enough to spend a full morning in, and the main reason the area feels green. The Gomti Riverfront promenade is the standard evening walk, particularly in the cooler months.
Both are free-form spaces rather than ticketed attractions, which is what makes them repeat destinations rather than one-time visits.
The built landmarks
The Ekana cricket stadium, in Gomti Nagar Extension, is the city's main international cricket venue and worth planning around if a match is on. Lulu Mall drew very heavy footfall on opening and remains one of the larger retail destinations in the region.
Vibhuti Khand's hotel and restaurant cluster is where most visitors end up eating.
If you have visitors
A practical half-day: Janeshwar Mishra Park in the morning, lunch in Vibhuti Khand, and the riverfront at sunset. Most of Lucknow's heritage sights — the Imambaras, Hazratganj, the Residency — are elsewhere in the city and need a separate trip.
